The title big city dwellers comes from listening to a talk on CBC radio by David Suzuki and Jeff Rubin while driving from London to my home just outside the city on conservation land. The premise was that most of us now live in urban environments, and in a big city it becomes very easy to think we are not like any other life form. This seemed to fit what I was doing these past years in the studio, trying to bridge this gap between what I knew as the truth of our natural world, and the way we have come to experience it through our own constructed realities.
